Clubhouse

This was such an interesting and fun project. My client, a childminder, had recently expanded her business into a larger space - the local football club function room.

​

The challenge was to decorate, furnish and dress the room so that it would appeal to and work for her clientele, the children.  Importantly, the room also had to continue to function as a social space for the local fans every weekend and evening games during the week.

​

We were working with a lot of existing furniture and wall decor, which could not change, but also needed to introduce new pieces which could be put away ready for match days.

Thankfully the club were very open to our ideas and embraced the half painted wall, chalkboard painted bar area and cork board noticeboard.

And the fact that Janine was able to stick to the brief of creating a child friendly space with cosy book corners and pretend play areas that could be easily packed away ready for when the room is used as a bar during football matches was genius!
